INTERNATIONAL PHOTO CONTEST
First Edition 2013
“Looking Jerusalem-Christmas landscape”

One of the most beautiful times of the year is coming: Christmas.
To celebrate this event The Study Center “ G. Antonucci “,  the International Association  “The way To Jerusalem” under the Patronage of the Town of Mesagne  announce a photo contest: “Looking Jerusalem-Christmas landscape”.

OBJECTIVES AND PUBLICATION
The Study Center “ G. Antonucci “, the International Association “The way To Jerusalem”
promote the First Edition (2013) of the International Photo Contest : “Looking Jerusalem-Christmas landscape”.
The 6 images judged the best will be awarded.
Each photo must be accompanied by a form containing the subject of the image, the date and location the image was taken, the name of the photographer(s). Submissions or short comments the author considers important can be included.
All the photos received, will be collected in a catalog and used as the logo for the brochure promoting the next Edition.

DATE OF THE COMPETITION
The contest begins on December 18, 2013 and ends at 12:00am, on February 2, 2014.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1. The original photo should be saved in JPEG format measuring at least 4096 pixels on its long dimension at 300dpi, color profiled in sRGB and sent on CD/DVD.
2. The original photo can be required to the author and it will be emailed as an attachment.
3. Pictures on paper must have minimum dimensions of 25 x 30 cm and must be accompanied by a CD and in JPEG format.
4. Each contestant may submit no more than 3 photos which will not be returned to authors.
5. We are especially interested in the following images: landscape - landscape Christmas - imaginary landscape - Christmas-Jerusalem - Christ Child’s birth - Adoration of the Magi - Landscape art. Historical photos related to the theme of Christmas will also be accepted .
6. Photographs should not represent people or animals as their main subject.
7. Entrants must not infringe on the privacy rights or other rights of any person.

OWNERSHIP/USE RIGHTS

1. Entrants grant the Promoters of this initiative a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, reproduce and create derivative works for any educational, promotional, publicity, exhibition, and all other standard purposes. The Promoters will not be required to seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.
2. Entrants are not allowed to use the photo contest for any possible publication on advertising and promotional material in support of their activities.

HOW TO ENTER

Participation in the competition is free and  forbidden to members of the jury.

Photos must be submitted by February 2, 2014 as an attachment at : This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or via mail with return receipt to: Centro Studi  G. Antonucci - Via Giuseppe Verdi N° 43 – 72023 Mesagne (BR). “Looking Jerusalem-Christmas landscape” must be written on the envelope. The entry form attached to this Regulation must be completed (a photo submission that does not include the minimum contact information, will not be considered an "entry" into the contest, and therefore will be ineligible). It must include:

  1. Author's full name, address, e-mail address, telephone number.
  2. Title of the photo.
  3. Date and  location the image was taken.
  4. Entry is limited to original works. Images that have been retouched using software or by other means will not be accepted. For historical photos you must declare the lawful possession.
  5. Entry is limited to original works that have not formerly been displayed or exhibited. Works that have been submitted to publication currently underway are not eligible.
  6. Entrants are required to obtain the prior permission and consent of the persons who are portrayed in their works or who hold the copyright or other intellectual property rights to the works or the items portrayed therein.

If the data in the entry form should be unintelligible, incomplete or incorrect, the participant will be ineligible.
By participating in this Contest, all entrants agree to abide by these and any additional specific official rules.
Photos by entrants under 18 years will be sent by their parents or guardians.
The authors of the admitted photos will be notified by e-mail.


JURY

The jury will be composed of five experts. An esthete of photography and the representation of each Promoter of the contest are included.
The Jury shall determine winner eligibility in its sole and absolute discretion. There will be no prize ex aequo.  All decisions made by the judges are final.


GENERAL RULES

The organizers reserve the right to publish and duplicate all entries, for any publishing purposes without time limits.

By participating in this Contest, all entrants are the only responsible for their photos. The Organizers do not accept liability for damages caused by the entrants.

Entry is limited to original works that have not been formerly published or  being published.

The photos submitted will not infringe the rights of others. Entrants are required to obtain the prior permission and consent of the persons who are portrayed in their works.

By participating in this Contest, all entrants agree to abide by these and any additional specific official rules.


PRIZES

The authors of the first 6 classified photographs will win the following prizes:

  • 1st place: € 250,00 offered by Municipal Administration of Mesagne.
  • 2nd place: one week holiday at Lorica in the heart of the Sila at the Residence Lorica.
  • 3rd place: weekend at Corciolo family’s B&B “Villa Lucia”- Mesagne.
  • 4th place: box of wines offered by the delicatessen Carone 1951-Mesagne
  • 5th place: bonus offered by the beauty Center of Emiliano Susy.
  • 6th place: computer custody offered by leather good shop Caprice-Mesagne.


All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
The award ceremony will take place in Mesagne by April, 30- 2014. The date will be notified in time to each participant.
The prizes that will be withdrawn for any reason, will be used as a fund for the next editions of the competition.

PRIVACY POLICY

Personal data about entrants will be processed in accordance with the legislative decree 196/03.
They will be used by the Study Center "G. ANTONUCCI" for the good functioning of the competition.
The collected data can be viewed, modified, updated, or deleted at any time.
The holder of the data processing is the Study Center “ G. Antonucci” in the person of the legal representative.

FIRST CIRCULAR LETTER
Dear colleagues, dear friends:
Because of the presentation of the aspirant PROJECT of Cultural Route of the Council of Europe, EUROPEAN ROUTES OF THE WAY TO JERUSALEM, the promoting entity named Cooperation Network of European Routes of The Way to Jerusalem is pleased to invite to the event:
INTERNATIONAL FORUM ON EUROPEAN CULTURAL ROUTES AS A DRIVING FORCE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN EUROPEAN IDENTITY to be held at the Palazzo Gallone - Piazza Giuseppe Pisanelli - Tricase (Lecce) the next days September 7-8, 2013, according to the deputy PROGRAM.


The forum is open to all stakeholder (political, social, business, cultural, tourism ...) involved, and interested in the development of Cultural Routes Program, as well as managers of certified Cultural Routes -or managers of projects in progress.
You will find in this meeting a place to talk about and make analysis on the various issues currently affecting to this program of the Council of Europe.
Registration is free, although the number of places is limited.
Therefore, interested parties will be accepted by order of registration.

The official languages will be ENGLISH and ITALIAN.

The organization, in cooperation with the Association VIATOR Study Centre , provide facilities and special accommodation rates for all attendees accepted.
